Al Baik – Why oh why only in Jeddah?

As early as I can remember, my dad who is an OFW in Saudi Arabia goes for vacation every year in Philippines. And of course no family reunion is complete without a food trip and as a kid usually it is an all smile visit to our famous Jollibee. But every time my dad eats chicken he will always compare it to AL BAIK. That nothing compare to this “Al Baik” especially with its famous garlic sauce. He will always promise us to bring to Al Baik when we go to Jeddah.

After years of waiting, finally we get to land in Jeddah and got our first taste of Al Baik. Since I was just 11 years old at that time, of course for me it taste good but I am committed to my first love Jollibee. Years went by till I appreciate this delicious unforgettable chicken. I understood why people crave for it and can eat this chicken almost every day! And I begin to accept that Jeddah is the perfect place to live because of this!

So why people fall in love and cannot forget AL BAIK?

First,  Al Baik has chicken menu with the famous broasted chicken and nuggets and seafood menu including the Jumbo Shrimp and fish fillets sandwiches plus side orders and desserts.  See some of their menus below from Wikipedia and a link to their official website http://www.albaik.com/en

                                                                   Chicken menu
·         Albaik chicken, 8 pieces (mild or spicy), fries, 4 garlic sauce, bread
·         Albaik chicken, 4 pieces (mild or spicy), fries, 2 garlic sauce, bread
·         Chicken fillet nuggets, 10 pieces (mild or spicy), 2 nugget-sauce, fries, bread
·         Chicken fillet nuggets, 7 pieces (mild or spicy), 2 nugget-sauce, fries, bread
·         Albaik chicken fillet sandwich (mild or spicy)
·         Albaik chicken burger meal.

Second, they are cheap! An average meal will just cost you less 150 (SR12) for 4 pieces of chicken and a drink. Next, They have big servings! Double the size of our famous chicken joy, mc chicken and KFC. Fourth, is the garlic sauce! It will always have you ask for more.
Lastly is its soft and delicious bun, Baked fresh daily from he best bakeries in town. You can always ask for extra bun!

I hope they will be open for international franchise so we can have them here in Philippines. I suggest you to visit this restaurant when you got to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and I promise that you will never regret it!
